Cia. Oito Nova Dança

      Directed by Lu Favoreto Cia. Oito Nova Dança was created in 2000, It is a contemporary dance group that has as its primary research element the relationship between body structure, "experienced movement" and scenic work. In order to process such an investigation, the company adopts a body approach based on somatic techniques based mainly on the methods of Klauss Vianna and the french physiotherapist Marie Madeleine Béziers. The company brings together a generation of artists who opted research as a procedure for creating and elaborating their scenic products. These artists are characterized by uniting the artistic investigation and the pedagogy of the movement, with the contribution of somatic techniques to develop language research and creative autonomy of the interpreter. The new techniques in scenic dance lead to the search for new aesthetics that meet the need for contemporary creation and expression.
